Restart?

I feel like everything I write these days have been about Covid-19, and this is going to be following those lines, but I will find more than just this one topic. But for now, this is what’s captivating the world right now.

No matter what, this is going to be a historic sesaon. Beyond the point of Liverpools absolute domination of the league, having the season be paused like it is now is unheard of. I don’t think this has ever happened other than the World Wars.

But the reason why I write this article now is because as of today, there is no definitive restart date for the premier league. Of course, all leagues are not definitive dates right now but just tentative, but a lot of leagues have released dates in which they hope to have restarted. I honestly think that they’re all way underestimating this virus and they’re being way to hopeful and the leagues will not be restarted by then.

But as of today, there is no restart date that has been given by the league. They say that they are waiting on information from health professionals and will only restart when medical guidance allows. With the situation evolving each day, it may be nice to hear that people are planning on resuming play, but I just don’t think it’s going to be possible.

As for the blades, we were having a fantastic season and I was personally really excited to see where the end of the season went. Hopefully, the season doesn’t get washed out in general but we’ll see what happens. It also sucks that the Olympics and Euros got moved to next year, so this summer won’t be as exciting as it should’ve been too.
